ABOUT US

Our founder, Aurélien Guédès’s passion for wine was ignited when he was 18 years old, when he was still living in the south of France. He soon began wanting to understand what he was drinking, and in order to improve his skills and knowledge, he started to read a lot, attend wine fairs, and of course visit wineries – an undeniable privilege living in a world-renowned country producing wine.

 

Realizing the potential to combine his passion and work, he entered the wine world as a professional in France at the age of 25 and continued this journey by moving to Hong Kong. With 10 years of experience working for some of the most prominent fine wine suppliers in Asia, the time came for him to create something of his own, so as to be able to fully express and apply his own wine philosophy towards his clients and friends.

The Missing Bottle was born, with the following missions of bringing to Hong Kong:

Terroir driven wines - no matter their origing, wines embracing their terroir and the nature surrounding it

Provenance guaranteed wines - in an era where counterfeit or wines which have been circulating around the world several times are legions, a good provenance is key to ensure the quality

New wineries - no one wants to drink the same wine everyday, the stars of tomorrow have to be spotted today

​

Rare and unique wines - because we all have looked at least once for THE missing bottle
